Business Opportunities

DCSEC is strongly committed to providing meaningful contracting opportunities for the development and construction of the new stadium. We have hired a former US Commerce Department executive to coordinate all contracting efforts for the new facility. Nearly half of all contracts for the renovation of RFK Stadium went to local firms surpassing the 35% contracting goal with Local, Small and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (LSDBE’s). The same commitment will be employed with all facets of development for the new stadium which has a 50% LSDBE contracting goal.

Contracting opportunities are publicized on the DCSEC website. It is anticipated that once a Construction Manager is selected for the project (late August 2005, DCSEC will host a series of informational sessions on all trade opportunities. Until then, the DCSEC LSDBE Coordinator will continue to meet with local business groups and interested vendors about upcoming contracting opportunities, access to capital and LSDBE certification.
