DC Sports and Entertainment Commission Hosts Meet-and-Greet Session for District Youth with D.C. United’s Midfielder Domenic Mediate
WHAT: The DC Sports and Entertainment Commission (DCSEC) will host a meet-and-greet session with D.C. United’s Midfielder Domenic Mediate for youth from the Department of Parks and Recreation’s (DPR) Camp Score Program. The midfielder will talk about his experience and offer advice for a career in professional soccer. The students will also have an opportunity to tour the historic RFK Stadium.
The DPR offers a diverse array of exciting, urban recreation and camping opportunities in the District of Columbia. Through the Camp Score Program, enrollees from ages 6-13 enjoy learning the dynamics of varied sports throughout the summer including: soccer, lacrosse, tennis, basketball, flag football, softball and baseball. The goal is to expose youth to various fields of sports and encourage their development, confidence and growth in sportsmanship.

About DC Sports and Entertainment Commission The DC Sports and Entertainment Commission, an independent agency of the District of Columbia government, oversaw the successful construction of Nationals Park that was completed on time and within the cost cap. The DCSEC is responsible for the management and operation of Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium, the DC Armory and their adjacent facilities. The Commission is also charged with presenting and promoting sports, entertainment and special events.
